Hello friends,

First off, thank you so much to everyone who has supported us over the years, a fantastic community shaped the place and we’ve been incredibly proud of what our little bar has achieved.

We've decided to bring our closing date a little forward, given recent circumstances. We're going to open up for last drinks this Friday and Saturday, 4pm til 1am. If you feel like joining us, we'd love your help to finish the kegs.

If you're not able to join us, don't stress, we'll plan a proper SK show later in the year when we're able to hug you all again.

Good luck to any hopso friends out there, and thank you to all our customers, friends, supporters and artists, we are incredibly grateful and we look forward to sharing a beer with you all in time.

In the mean time, support small business and be good to each other.

Bar SK & Beermash have done yet another collaboration, this time with Otherside Brewing Co. (WA)

Join us at both Bar SK & Beermash this Friday night to experience this very limited single hop Strawberry & Hibiscus NEIPA. Otherside headbrewer Rhys Lopez and Dayv from Bar SK/Beermash filled this one with oats for maximum haze, and hopped it with lotus hops, famous for that candied strawberry character, and then in the fermenter they added whole strawberries and dried hibiscus flowers for full flavour and colour 🍓🍻🌺

Tess is a full-time game developer working in Melbourne with a passion for rigging, problem-solving, and capybaras. She is currently working as the Lead Rigger & Animator on The Artful Escape.

Sarah Ireland – How to 3D Print as a 2D Artist
Are you a 2D artist or designer? Do Blender and ZBrush instil a deep-rooted fear in you like it does for me? Do you think 3D printing sounds pretty cool but seems out of your reach? This talk is all about how you can get started with 3D printing with only 2D skills up your sleeve!

Originally from Perth, Sarah is a 2D artist who loves making monsters, illustrations and comics. Somehow, despite having no skills in creating 3D models, she became very passionate about 3D printing in mid 2018 and has deep dived into the hobby since.

Louie Roots – "Wow are those all beers?"
Maybe you've seen some amazing art around your local bottle shop, or maybe you just walked past the fridge at SK – the craft beer industry is growing rapidly and the need for artists is increasing, because brewers are (usually) terrible artists, honestly. This talk is a brief overview of the variety of ways artists can interact with the beer scene, giving you some inspiration to put your work on the world's tastiest canvas: beer.

Louie graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts at ECU and has been creating posters and assets for games, events and beers since 2013 as one of his many roles running SK.
