Tonight! Making their way from Eora/Sydney, 𝐆.𝐔.𝐍 (ɢᴀʟᴠᴀɴɪᴄ. ᴜɴᴀᴘᴏʟᴏɢᴇᴛɪᴄ. ɴᴏɪꜱᴇ) arrive at The Grace Darling for the last stop of their debut tour, celebrating the upcoming EP 𝒯𝑜 𝐻𝑒𝒶𝓋𝑒𝓃 𝐹𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝐻𝑜𝓁𝓁𝓎𝓌𝑜𝑜𝒹— a fever dream love letter to the silver screen.

Front Woman Dick McQueen describes the work as “The story of a fever dream informing the destiny of stardom! A self confession to a spotlight that crash lands unto a stage. It’s about the iconography of entertainment both in its richness and its darkness.Born to perform. Born to become a character, held forever in the spirit of the collective audience. For the greater good of entertainment.”

We welcome the return of 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 — purveyors of noisy, rave-inflected punk. Known for their sharp noise and buzzing mechanics, the last time they played The Grace Darling (in a notorious head-to-head with Soft Approach), the system and mixing desk barely survived…

Joining us from Eora is 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝/𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭, a 3-piece electronic punk act glitching between softness and harshness. Fragmented, frayed at the edges, and deeply compelling — we’re thrilled to have them at The Grace.

Sending big love to our beloved day ones, Shock Corridor, who are sadly no longer able to play. In their place, local favourites 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 step in to bring their razor-edged punk electronics and visceral force. Cathartic, loud, and impossible to ignore.

A band that thrives on movement and texture, Intermood weave deep grooves with lush synthscapes, drawing from jazz, house, and psychedelic influences. Ones to watch on the local scene, their live performances blend improvisation with intricate production, resulting in hypnotic, danceable compositions that feel both expansive and intimate. Casuarina is a reflection of their sonic evolution—fluid, atmospheric, and full of rhythm.

Experience the first-ever 𝑽𝑬𝑺𝑻 show this Friday, Feb 28, as they make their debut live appearance at The Grace Darling.

Comprised of members from various corners of Melbourne/Naarm’s music scene, 𝑽𝑬𝑺𝑻 has already made waves, with their demos circulating to high acclaim. Featuring key figures behind local labels Love Above and Spin Cycle, and members who played in Vanessa Worm’s live band during a string of shows in 2024, their debut set promises to be something special.

Joining them is post-noir punk act 𝑳𝒐𝒘 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒓𝒐𝒆 & 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒈𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔, closing out a huge year after releasing three singles and an EP in 2024 with their signature theatrical style.

Opening the night is 𝑵𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒐, the project of Lisbon-born musician and composer Vasco Narciso, blending experimental soundscapes and emotive melodies.

The mind behind ‘Dry Run’ on PBS, 𝑫𝑱 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓 keeping the night spinning with their collection of left-field electronica and beyond.

Coming up this Friday! 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟏 brings her immersive live experience to The Grace Darling for a night of deep listening and genre-defying soundscapes. 𝐁𝐄𝐀𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟏 has spent over a decade crafting a sonic world that’s as elegant as it is experimental, with her live performances merging progressive pop, avant-garde productions, and hypnotic vocal textures.

Opening the evening proceedings, 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 is an experimental sound group of circular collaborators. On Friday, 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 will explore minimal arrangements of poetry and found strings.

Joined by the ethereal 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐚 — a multifaceted creator and alchemist of moods who turns dreamscapes into soundscapes. 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐚 pulls from an eclectic array of influences such as 90’s downtempo/trip hop and cinematic soundtracks.
