This month’s featured artist is Nick Verwey 🎢

His top record pick? The Chimes - True Love.
For Dawn Again, is a groovy, soulful gem with an irresistible vocal that stays with you long after the record stops spinning. It’s the kind of track that gets lodged in your head and somehow has everyone singing it weeks later. He also picked up the record from Dutch Vinyl Record Store, just a short walk from Runner Up, which made it feel like the right choice to keep things in the neighbourhood.

Dawn Again has been DJing since his early teens, building a lifelong connection to music through collecting records, mixing and producing. After moving to New York in 2015, he immersed himself in the city’s rich dance music culture, drawing inspiration from DJs and collectors who helped shape club history. Since returning to Melbourne, he has continued to refine his sound, moving from disco roots into a blend of downtempo, street soul, house and tech house. Alongside DJing, he has been releasing music as Dawn Again since 2016, with a growing catalogue of productions pressed to wax.

After the success of their last rooftop event, KOM returns to Runner Up with a curated lineup spanning house, electro, and beyond.

is a Bali-born DJ whose roots lie in the record store scenes of Bali and Jakarta. Moving through tech house and beyond, he also performs as part of Tekturns with the +SIX12 label.

explores leftfield electronica and dub rhythms. She runs In Motion Radio on Area3000, championing Asian femme and gender-fluid artists, with mixes featured internationally.

is a seasoned DJ of West Papuan and East Javanese descent. Starting in Yogyakarta in 2007, he later co-founded Casual Dance and continues to push boundaries with a community-first approach to music.
