Our next Blues on the Mountain show at Mangrove Mountain Hall is going to be a ripper! Featuring two of the best young Blues/Rock acts in the Country on Saturday the 31st of October (Halloween 🎃)!

Necko

Insanely talented 70's inspired Blues/Rock trio, Necko, have quickly become a favourite at Mangrove Mountain Hall, sharing the bill with acts such as Z-Star Trinity, Ash Grunwald, and L.R. Marsh. With a new critically acclaimed album under their belt, Necko are touring around the country on their first headline tour and are going to rock the Blues on the Mountain stage on Saturday the 31st of October.

Archie Geronimi band

Backed by his powerhouse three-piece band, Archie delivers high-energy blues-rock performances that combine blistering guitar work, tight musicianship, and a modern take on the genre. He is the world's youngest Duesenberg Guitars endorsed artist and was named the Sydney Blues Society's Favourite Youth Artist in both 2025 and 2026, achievements that have established him as one of Australia's rising blues-rock talents. Supporting Necko, and rocking the Mangrove Mountain Hall stage for the very first time, the Archie Geronimi band is not to be missed!

Attention: Campers and those arriving early coming up from Sydney, RFS have temporarily closed Peats Ridge Road at Calga due to smoke from the roadside fire there, please take the Gosford exit and follow Wiseman's Ferry Rd to Mangrove Mountain Hall which is unaffected

Campground gates open at 1pm and is fully booked out, camping ticket holders only. Campers please note that the RFS has issued a total fire ban for the greater Sydney region today, which includes us, so no campfires this time. But hey, it's a gorgeous warm spring day on the Mountain, so we'll be comfy without one.

A perennial favourite in the Australian Blues and Roots live music scene over four decades, Backsliders have won the Rhythms Album of the Year award four times as well as being crowned the Rolling Stone/Australian Blues Awards “Band of the Year” in 1994. Backsliders were also nominated for three ARIA awards in 1999, 2002 and 2011.

The Backsliders have performed at some of the biggest festivals across the country, Womad New Zealand and Womadelaide (SA) Bluesfest, Blues on Broadbeach, Adelaide International Guitar Festival, the Melbourne International Music & Blues Festival (alongside Bob Dylan, Ray Charles & Tony Joe White), Woodford Folk Festival, Bridgetown Blues Festival to name a few.

It’s been eight years since Backsliders have performed on the Central Coast, with their show at the historic Mangrove Mountain Hall on Saturday the 5th of September a rare opportunity to see one of Australia’s favourite Blues bands in such an intimate setting.
