The new Mic Knight Unit, featuring Oscar Winter-Giles and Connor Moloney, plays original repertoire from all the musicians and interpretations / improvisations of pieces by Thelonious Monk. The Unit will be joined by electric bassist King Coffey for an evening of fine textural exploration through the vessel of Monk’s angular compositions.

Mime, Mask and Clown with Marcel & Manab - Free Workshop
Every Saturday, 10am - 12pm

Join Marcel & Manab for a free weekly drop in theatre workshop. We will work on mime, clown, masked theatre and other physical comedy based theatre styles in a friendly and fun environment. This is a chance to meet regularly to develop our skills and build community among local performers. Open to everyone, professionals and amateurs alike and mostly for adults but open to teenagers too.

Marcel spends a lot of the year on tour so sometimes the sessions will be run by Manab and/or other local performers.

New York based pianist Gordon Webster is one of the most sought after musicians in the world of swing and traditional jazz styles. His tremendous musicianship, unstoppable energy and passion for classic Jazz has inspired listeners and swing dancers at thousands of concerts and dance events worldwide.

Drawing on influences as diverse as Fats Waller, Count Basie, Oscar Peterson and Gene Harris, Webster serves up a smorgasbord of styles unified by one characteristic: irresistible rhythm and danceability.  

For several intimate club dates on tour in Australia, Gordon will be joined by bassist Leigh Barker (Paris / Canberra) and drummer Abby Constable (Sydney) for a unique night of swing, blues, hot jazz and classic standards. They will also by joined by international vocal star Louise Messenger (London / Adelaide).
