We not only support live music but all aspects of creatives. Also hosting comedy evenings, slam poetry, vocal and youth showcases, school and university students as well as film screenings, workshops, open mics and offering rehearsal space. Elixir is THE meeting space for new collaborative projects! We are in absolute awe of the calibre of musicians that we are home to in Cairns, and to see the incredibly beautiful creations after them joining minds and skills.... hearing what they produce is something really special. We truly love it when people come together and create something new. Also watching the transformation of open mic'ers go from absolute beginner through to growing musically and with stage confidence is the most rewarding experience for us! We LOVE being that totally immersive space where it's all about the music, energies, emotions and connectivity! We are here and exist purely hold space for community and creatives, inspire, raise the frequency of our internal being and resonate with the inherent calling of our souls towards music....

Also side note.....Apologies to everyone for this taking so long. Losing mumma took alot out of me, and I'm still trying to recalibrate my soul.....

Unfortunately mumma and I didn't always have the best relationship and looking after her full time with dementia was VERY trying at times. I still have alot of sadness, guilt and longing for moments I wish I'd done differently..... I know it'll eat me alive, but all I can do is work on it, pretty much daily.

I have to stop myself from sliding into an avalanche of regrets or memories of her tiny frail arms, or telling her to be quiet so I can do this work, or her crying because she was so lonely {before we took her to live with us} or her crying and begging me to please only remember her good times.... {gahd, I'm balling my eyes out writing this rn}
I am forever grateful for the time I spent with her and kick in the memories of laughter, her dancing, flirting with the fellas and watching movies she claims she's already seen EVERY MOVIE

This work and these projects are for you mumma, always believing in me and especially PUSHING me.....

Massive love you guys, thank you all for being patient with me
