Today, members of the Veterans Motorcycle Club attended the 84th Anniversary Commemoration of the Battle of the Coral Sea in Cardwell.

It was a well-run and respectful service at the Coral Sea Memorial Park, with a solid turnout from the local community.

The march and ceremony was a testament to those near and far who support the morning, and it was good to see people taking the time to remember those who served and the sacrifices made during the Battle of the Coral Sea.

These events matter — they keep the history alive and make sure it’s not forgotten.

Thanks to the organisers and everyone involved in putting the day together.

Yesterday, our Chapter had the privilege of attending the Veterans Day Community Event in Silkwood, proudly hosted by JK Rocket Fuel.

It was a fantastic small-town gathering that really brought people together to show their appreciation and support for those who have served.

The day was well attended by locals and families, with plenty to see and do, from military vehicles on display, to a great sausage sizzle run by the Army cadets.

It was especially encouraging to see the younger generation getting involved, engaging with veterans, and showing genuine respect for their service.

The team at JK Rocket Fuel did a great job hosting the event, and the community support right throughout the day was outstanding.

Events like this remind us just how strong that connection is between veterans and the towns we’re proud to be part of.

Thank you to everyone who came along, had a chat, and showed their support.

Respect to all who served… and we look forward to the next one.

The Chapter is spread out a bit this ANZAC Day with one member representing the RSL In Gallipoli, others are attending the services in Cairns while a bunch of us made our way down to Tully to join their memorial for the weekend.
It was a lovely touching moment when a local man performed the Last Post for us at the Tully Hotel before dinner. LWF.

Over the weekend, 6 members of the Chapter participated in this event raising funds for the purchase of a defribulator. Joining other Cairns and tablelands clubs and riders, the route took us up the Kuranda Range up to Mareeba and along to Biboora. We then headed to the Mt Molloy Hotel for lunch and then onto the Mt Carbine pub for a refreshing drink. The route then took us up to the Lakeland Hotel for more drinks and the final raffle draws before reaching our final destination and overnight accommodation at the Lions Den Hotel. Overall another fantastic ride organised by RWB and MC Trumpy.

Very good documentary, well worth the watch.
