One of house music’s true masters joins us this November the 5th at Paradiso Music Room. Since 1989 Move D has been mixing and producing electronic music. His sets are warm, analog-rich journeys through cosmic house, techno & disco with sub-aquatic grooves, as soulful as they are technically awe-inspiring.
We’ve been long stocking Move’ records in our racks and listening to his mixes from afar. It’s a true honour for our shop to be hosting such an inspiring dance music legend in our region. This one’s for those who want to lock in, go deep and dance the night away.
House music was a revelation for David Moufang, aka Move D from his very first acid house party experience. Overwhelmed, he says he sat in the corner of the room digesting the scenery. Move says still to this day beyond the music - it’s the communal experience that are most special about house and techno parties.
Move D’s productions are influenced by jazz or funk more so than electronic music. Move says this helps his music to exist beyond trends in an ever globalised world. His discography dates back to 1995 with first release on Source Records. A label Move D started in hometown Heidelberg, Germany alongside musician and designer Jonas Grossmann. Move’s music often gets the “deep” tag for which he credits luminaries like Mr. Fingers, Marc Kinchen, Chez Damier & Ron Trent.
Local selectors Dj Ingrid, Dingo Balearico & Zac Stars will be holding it down before and after.
