Our very own Barry Hancock proudly represented Bundoora at the singles event on Saturday 16th May at Narre Warren Bowls Club. Barry played 4 games of 2x6 end sets. won all 8 sets to win both his division (physical disability) and be crowned overall winner. CONGRATULATIONS Barry

Bundoora Bowls Club is incredibly proud of Scott Copeland and Cooper Stubbs for their outstanding efforts at the Victorian State Novice Championships in Shepparton last week.

From arctic conditions on Day 1 to fighting sunburn on Day 3, both players showed resilience, focus and genuine determination throughout the event.

In the Pairs, Scott and Cooper combined brilliantly and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the knockouts, demonstrating strong teamwork and composure on the state stage.

In the Singles, Scott continued his impressive form, winning his section and representing Bundoora with real class.

Well done to both of you — your performances reflect the spirit, talent and hard work we’re proud to see at Bundoora Bowls Club.

At Bundoora's presentation night, President Gus announced Brent Reiner as the winner of Bundoora's Most Valuable Player for 2025/26 with Ben Winther as runner up. The MVP is now known as the Dean O'Neill Award, and here they're holding a framed shirt featuring Bundoora, MCC and Victoria and associated medals Dean had won. The framed shirt was then presented to Dean's parents.

Light fingered Fred with three accomplices broke into the Bundoora Bowling Club around 1.00 am last Sunday morning. Took 17 minutes using kindergarten scissors to break into the greenkeeper's shed. Finally got in with some pruning shears. Once inside took 20 seconds to escape with a couple of blowers, trimmers, drill and socket set, and then took off in a waiting car with the third accomplice. Can you please return the blower and trimmer as we've still got the batteries. You were in such a hurry you also forgot to take some petrol for the other blower!
