The final of the Neville Brockett Handicap snooker tournament for 2025 was played between Ross Wilton and Darian Ward. The best of 5 frames decider did not go the distance, with Ross getting the upper hand and winning with a 3:1 result. The first frame was a very tight tussle with Darian coming from behind to achieve a re-spotted black ball, but then Ross potted the penultimate black for the win....

The final of the Club's A Grade Club Snooker competition is for the Chadwick Shield. It was played on Sat 19 July 2025 as a best of 7 frames competition between Darrin van Duin and Ryan Carney. As both players having previously won numerous titles, a cracker-jack final was a certainty. The First frame was relatively level play, with both players trying not to give anything away....

The final of the BB&SC Intermediate Snooker was held on Sat. 19 July, played as a best of 5 frames competition between Steve Westby and Judith Swanson. In the Final, played on May 30th, we had two contenders who had already won various trophies in the past, suggesting this would be a tight contest for the Crosby Shield Handicap Snooker competition. Ian Thomas had a 24 points head start on last year's winner, Ryan Cairney going into the two consecutive frames match. As is quite common for finals, the match began somewhat slowly with no pots, while both players carefully tried to not give anything away....

The B Grade Billiards competition was played earlier this year, and a healthy number of nominations were received. The competition format is single 45-minute matches, with the player scoring the most points progressing to the next round. Sadly, John Berry (Defending champion) passed away unexpectedly in 2024. Bob Grasso, the 2024 runner up provided some wonderful reflections on playing with John, who was deeply missed this year....

The last BB & SC Handicap Snooker competition for the year was well subscribed, with a health field of 25 players signing up. There were some epic matches in the early rounds. A special mention to Judith Swanson who had to give Joe Keily a start of 51 points in each frame and managed to come away with the win. Legend has it that the match took over 3 and a half hours....
