Thank you, Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority, for the opportunity to share the journey and dynamics behind capturing the beauty and stories of Papua New Guinea.
A special thank you to our brothers from O2 Visuals PNG and Cheyes Visuals for sharing the stage and offering valuable perspectives from the creative industry.
After listening to my brothers, I decided to share a different perspective — the journey of a content creator who started out hustling to earn a living and gradually built a professional career through sacrifice, investment and determination.
From taking small jobs to investing in quality equipment, developing our skills and learning to own the content we create, it has been a journey of growth and preparation.
Today, we are better equipped and ready to work alongside TPA, tourism operators, service providers and other industries to showcase the very best of PNG to the world. 🌏
But I wanted to take the conversation one step further.
Beyond capturing PNG's stories, we must also empower Papua New Guineans to tell their own stories.
That is why I have begun investing in training and mentoring aspiring media creators — sharing the skills, knowledge and experiences gained over the years so others can enter the industry professionally.
Because our contribution to PNG should not end with the images we capture, but continue through the people we inspire and equip to carry our stories forward.
