Celebrate last minute beer events with Garage Project’s One Day In March (on the second last day of May). On tap this Saturday from 11am:

One Day In March
A juicy blend of Nelson Sauvin & Rakau hops, all picked on the same day at Freestyle hop farm, half of the harvest was rushed still wet from the field to the Garage and plunged straight into this beer, the other half was quickly dried and added to the fermenter. The result is a beer overflowing with lush citrus, resinous pine and tropical fruit. Just New Zealand grown hops at their harvest fresh best. 6.2%

Fresh IPA MAY
Light lager malt, wheat and malted oats deliver a signature glowing green gold haze. Hot side hopping is 100% Nelson Sauvin, with a blend of T90 and cryo to lay down the full spectrum of Nelson flavour. Then dry hopping with the same tag team of T90 and cryo Nelson along with Strata and Oregon Chinook. 7.0%

Resin Head
This is Resin Head. Crisp, bright West Coast style IPA, brewed with a careful blend of Chinook, Centennial, Nelson Sauvin and Simcoe then finished with a shot of distilled hop oil. Sweet tropical fruit melds with punchy citrus and sticky hop resin top notes. 7.0%

Skinny Dipper - Garage Project X Mikkeller
Splash out with Hazy IPA, brewed with the pick of the Nelson Lakes Hop Harvest. Motueka, Cascade and Nelson Sauvin bring super juicy stone fruit and bright citrus top notes in a lush smooth hazy base that’s as refreshing as a moonlit dip. It’s naughty, but it’s nice. Brewed n**e with our friends at Mikkeller. 5.5%

DFA
Demus favorem amori - 'we choose to stand for love'. DFA, a surprising blend of flavours marrying mango, Vietnamese mint, lime and chilli with the high citrus hit of Centennial, Amarillo and Citra hops. The result is a deliciously intense tryst of bitter-sweet heat, tropical fruit and citrus hop character, coming together to create a beer of rich, satisfying balance. Life is all about choices. My Beer Dealer Alfred St is on the hunt for a senior bartender to join our small but awesome crew. You’ll be keen for 30+ hours (casual or permanent part time) and be available Tuesday - Saturday.

We love championing small producers - be it wine, beer or spirits - and want you to share that passion with our customers. You’ll have 3+ years’ experience in a bar with real experience of working independently and can start in the next two weeks. Your booze experience will be strongest in wine and spirits to complement a strong team in craft beer (we won’t complain if your skillset includes craft beer of course). Bonus points for bottle shop experience. Amazing customer service will be second nature, you genuinely love people, love creating relationships with regulars and fostering new ones. You’ll be awesome at following instructions and working with our existing procedures and systems. And of course you’ll have your RSA. An RMLV would be lovely but not mandatory.

You will be a warm and engaging personality, a multi-tasker under pressure, experienced in working alone on evening shifts when needed and be able to handle yourself with difficult customers when required. You’ll have a banging sense of humour and of course the right to work in Australia, long term. You’ll be working alongside a great existing team. This role is diverse and will appeal to those people who relish variety and a different challenge every day.

Pair it with a proper imported tin of Irish Guinness or Murphy’s, you’ve got yourself a mighty fine St Pat’s day.

And if one day ain’t enough, we’ll run be dealin’ spice bags and slingin’ stouty tins all week. Just to be sure. ☘️

Coeliac Awareness Week kicks off this Friday and we’ve got a few treats up our sleeve for all of our gluten intolerant mates.

On tap we’re celebrating the best gluten-free beer on the planet with four taps dedicated to amazing beers from TwoBays! We’ll have their Japanese Lager, Pacific Ale, IPA and Mosaic IPA pouring until they’re empty.

And this Friday and Saturday our kitchen will be only serving gluten-free goodies - of which there are many.
