With over 65,000 members the Club has been proudly supporting and serving the local community since 1970. The 42 acres on the corner of Stanley and Creek Roads at Carina, known today as the Clem Jones Centre,
was founded over 50 years ago by the former Lord Mayor of Brisbane, the late Dr. Clem Jones. Dr. Jones’ vision for the Centre was to facilitate building and investment in a recreational and sporting facility for children of the local community. The Carina Leagues Club continues the tradition of this visionary leader by supporting the many local community groups that operate within the recreational hub. The Carina Leagues Club is a key stakeholder of the Carina Junior Rugby League Football Club which resides within the precinct and supports the Junior Rugby League Development Program run by former professional Brisbane Broncos rugby league player, Michael De Vere.
