Crushers 1995 Alternate Strip

Basically the same as the home strip, with the colours inverted and the navy blue collar replaced with white.
This jersey design was only worn in only a hand full of games throughout the 95 season. Mainly because there weren't many teams that clashed with their predominantly gold home jersey.

Crushers 1995 Winfield Cup Squad Luncheon Program.

This luncheon was held on Friday 21/10/1994 to celebrate and introduce the inaugural ARL South Queensland Crushers squad.

What makes this item even more special is the fact it has been signed inside by 19 members of the squad that attended the luncheon on the day including Trevor Gillmeister, Travis Norton, Scott Sattler, Mark Hohn, Grant Young, Garrick Morgan and the late St John Ellis.

Crushers Limited Edition Foundation Jersey.

The Crushers Rugby League Club was founded on the 30/11/1992. So I'm guessing this jersey was issued somewhere between that date and the start of the 1994 BRL season.

This is a strange item for a number of reasons.
1. The badge reads "Queensland Crushers" , which to me means they still hadn't decided on the eventual title "South Queensland" yet.
2. ###X Gold must have been signed up as a major sponsor almost from the beginning to be included on this jersey.
3. How many of these jerseys were made? And how were they distributed?
If anyone has any more information for me on this jersey it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Crushers 1995 Home Jersey

The original and the best. Used throughout their debut season in the ARL competition, which was also in it's inaugural year as the top level rugby league competition in Australia replacing the NSWRL.

The Crushers started the season with high hopes, having signed various big name players such as Mario Fenech, Trevor Gillmeister, Dale Shearer, and Mark Hohn.

Despite the initial hype, a combination of injuries and poor form to key players caused the mighty Crushers to finish 16th on the competition ladder with 6 wins, 1 Draw, 15 Losses to their name.
Crowd numbers were a different story during this season though, with an average home attendance of 21,028 at Suncorp Stadium.
