WELCOME TO THE ALPINE HOTEL BRIGHT

Set in the heart of Bright, the Alpine Hotel offers clean and comfortable budget accommodation within walking distance of all local amenities and the Ovens River. Our 24 motel units are located behind the hotel with a separate entry off Anderson Street. Each room is fitted with its own bathroom, television, bar fridge, toaster and tea and coffee making facilitie

The Main Lounge is open from 11am, with meals and snacks served from 12pm until late. The Menu boasts traditional Aussie food or for something a little different our Sri Lankan range of great curries. As a year round destination, Bright offers a wealth of activities and touring opportunities through the Alpine High Country and picturesque valleys of the North East, not to mention being within easy reach of the Milawa Gourmet District, numerous wineries, historic gold rush towns and Victoria’s premier mountain resorts, Mount Hotham, Falls Creek and Mount Buffalo. After a long day exploring, return to the Alpine Hotel to relax with a cold drink in our sunny beer garden or take the chill off in front of the roaring fires in the public bar and dining room over winter. With a mammoth beer list, boasting more than 50 great local and imported brews, a range of local wines and all your favourite spirits and RTD's, you’re sure to find something that takes your fancy. Weeknights in the public bar have a traditional pub vibe with the jukebox playing and plenty of action on the pool tables, or you can catch the daily news and sporting events on the big screen. Drop in on Friday nights for our Friday Frenzy, with 5 happy hours of drinks specials and where you can win one of our awesome prizes including a weekly cash jackpot or helicopter flight! We’re thrilled to officially announce Emma Holbery in her new role as Head Chef at Tigre Vita!
Emma has been a much-loved part of our team for many years, previously working with us in restaurant management and front of house. And now, we’re incredibly excited to see her step back into the kitchen where she truly belongs.

An acclaimed regional hatted chef and owner of Templar Lodge in the Kiewa Valley, Emma brings over 28 years of experience across Victoria’s Alpine region. Her career includes leading kitchens at Villa Gusto, Templar Lodge and Pepperberry Restaurant at Hara House in Bright, alongside a range of standout regional dining experiences.

Emma is known for her intimate pop-ups, private dining events and collaborations throughout the High Country, showcasing the very best of Alpine Victoria.
Her cooking celebrates seasonal, locally sourced produce, native Australian ingredients and contemporary flavours, inspired by a deep connection to the region.

Emma has also put her own stamp on the Tigre Vita menu, adding new dishes and fresh ideas while staying true to the Italian soul that our guests know and love. Expect seasonal Alpine produce, native influences and Emma’s signature contemporary touch woven throughout some much-loved classics.
