Winter is no longer coming. Winter is here. and we’re excited as a snow bunny about to head up the mountain.

We love this season.🤍

The air turns crisp, the peaks turn white, and our little corner of the world comes alive in a whole new way. Winter means snow-capped mountains, early morning drives up to Falls & Hotham, and those big, leg-burning days on the slopes before rolling back down to the valley.

It means ordering dark, rich porters and stouts, or our hands wrapped around a mulled cider, it means fires crackling, boots drying, stories flowing.

It means slowing down, leaning in, and getting cosy.

And it means Darker Days is just around the corner 👀

We’re stoked to call the base of the mountain home, our Alpine regions offers so much in every season.

We’re beyond pumped to welcome Garage Project to Darker Days this year.🍻

From humble nano-brewery beginnings in Wellington to globally sought-after innovators, these legends have built their name on one thing… pushing boundaries and having a whole lot of fun doing it.

Starting tiny, they’ve brewed over 900 beers and are still innovating like no one else. Still taking risks. Still trying something new. Still not playing it safe.

It’s a story we can get around - starting small, challenging expectations, and growing into something pretty special (if we do say so ourselves).

It’s easy to say they have long been at the top of our Darker Days wish list.

Bright is cooling down… and Darker Days is heating up! 🔥❄️

As autumn fades, it’s time to embrace winter and gear up for Darker Days as it’s just around the corner!

It’s time to rug up, layer up, and get amongst it. Here’s our insider tips on how to best plan for an epic weekend of music, beer, food and good times in our beautiful town of Bright!

Friday 19th June – Ease Into It
Kick things off with a behind-the-scenes brewery tour at Fred’s Shed (12pm & 3pm, $35pp). It’s the ultimate insider look, but spots are limited so book ahead. Then, meet your mates at the brewery and settle into festival mode at our Welcome Party (free entry!) – beers, pizza, and live tunes on the Hop Terrace. Yew!

Saturday 20th – Festival Day🎉
Start strong with a hearty brekky at one of Bright’s awesome cafe’s.From 12pm, doors open. Layer up, bring your sunnies, and wear proper footwear! Then dive into the firelit, music-filled, beer-fuelled magic of Darker Days, headlined by The Grogans.

Sunday 21st – Recovery Day
Wake up, wander the Ovens River or take on the Canyon Walk, and soak in that fresh alpine air.
Then roll into a laid-back Sunday Recovery Session on the Hop Terrace with DJ Matty O to close out the weekend in style.

We’re aiming to kick some goals this month with our Community Keg partner, the Myrtleford Savoy Soccer Club !⚽

Community Keg is all about supporting local legends – turning an evening beer into support for the clubs that keep our community strong. No red cards here, just good beer and great causes.

Founded in 1959 and part of the AWFA since 1976, MSSC is a proud, inclusive, family-friendly club bringing together players of all ages and backgrounds.

Come down this Wednesday from 5pm, grab a Community Keg beer, and help turn your support into real impact for the club-every donation goes towards developing women’s and youth programs, as well as maintaining equipment and facilities.

Let’s get behind them and keep the beautiful game rolling in the Valley!

We’re beyond stoked to welcome Blanc Space Tattoos back to Darker Days Festival for the third year running.

Em and Tito have very quickly become inked into the weekend and honestly, at this point we reckon they’ve inked half the town. And we’re not mad about it.

They bring the best energy every year: calm, creative, hilarious, and just all-round legends to have on site while the festival hums around them.

This year they’re rolling in with a fresh flash sheet ready to go - and if history tells us anything, these spots don’t last long.

So if you’ve been thinking about it… don’t think too long.

Get in quick on the day, sign up early, and lock it in - because once they’re set up, these two straight to work! Just ink, good vibes, and a very happy queue of people walking away with new memories (and tattoos).

We’re obsessed with having them back and can’t wait to see what cool designs will be on their flash sheet this year! 🖤
