🌟 MEET OUR STAFF 🌟

Meet Lynda! 👋

Lynda Maree Vezgoff is one of our dedicated Bar Supervisors and has been part of the club team for just over two years. If you've spent any time at the club, chances are you've been greeted by Lynda's friendly smile and welcoming personality.

When asked what she loves most about working here, her answer was simple: the customers. Building relationships and having a chat with our members is what makes every shift enjoyable.

Here are a few things you may not know about Lynda:
🐴 She owned the same horse for an incredible 28 years and used to compete in endurance riding.
🍛 Her go-to meal at the club is the Satay Combination.
🌾 She's country through and through.
🎶 U2 is her soundtrack of choice.
🍍 Pineapple on pizza? That's a definite yes!
🚢 If she won the lotto tomorrow, she'd be booking a round-the-world cruise.
🇮🇹 And at the top of her travel bucket list is Italy, a destination she's always wanted to visit.
When asked what she loves most about our club community, Lynda's answer gave us a laugh:
❤️ "They all love me so much!"

But in all seriousness, Lynda's advice for everyone is something we can all live by:
✨ "Treat people nice!" ✨

We're lucky to have Lynda as part of our team. Her warmth, sense of humour and genuine care for our members make her a much-loved part of the club family.

Meet Cameron! 👋
Cameron is one of the newest faces behind the bar, having joined the team around five weeks ago. While he's still finding his feet, he's already worked out one thing he loves about the job...
🌙 Working at night and not in the morning! 😆
When he's not serving our members, Cameron has some exciting plans for the future. He's hoping to head to university to study art, combining his creativity with his passion for learning.
A few things you might not know about Cameron:
🎨 He plans to study art at university.
🍹 His go-to drink is a Vodka, Midori and Red Bull.
🏔️ The Snowy Mountains are his favourite holiday destination.
🌾 Country life wins over the beach every time.
🌊 In fact, he really doesn't like the ocean!
🎶 If Cameron is choosing the music, you'll be listening to Pierce The Veil.
🍍 Pineapple on pizza? That's a firm no from him.
As for the perfect weekend?
🚗 Lots of driving around and hitting the road... if fuel prices would cooperate!

🌟 MEET OUR STAFF 🌟

Meet Jaki, one of our wonderful Bar Attendants! 👋

Jaki has been part of the team for a couple of years now, starting in the very same week as Scott. Since then, she's become a valued member of the club family, known for her friendly nature and great sense of humour.

When asked what her favourite part of working at the club is, Jaki didn't hesitate: the camaraderie with the staff. It's the friendships and teamwork behind the scenes that make coming to work enjoyable every day.

Here are a few things you may not know about Jaki:
🎓 She's an ANU graduate.
🥃 Her go-to drink is a Chivas.
🌾 Country life wins over the beach every time.
🗺️ Her favourite holiday destination is North-West Australia, describing it as "like a whole other country up there."
🎶 If she's choosing the music, expect plenty of David Bowie.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Her perfect weekend would involve a roast dinner surrounded by family and grandchildren.

And when it comes to life advice, Jaki lives by a simple but powerful motto:
✨ "Feel the fear, and do it anyway." ✨

As for weekends? According to Jaki, she's not entirely sure what one of those is anymore! 😄

We're lucky to have Jaki as part of our team, bringing warmth, experience and plenty of laughs to every shift.

🌟 MEET OUR STAFF 🌟

Meet Eryn, our fantastic Bar Supervisor! 🍻

Eryn has been part of the club family since around 2001 or 2002, making her one of the longest-serving members of our team. Over the years, she's balanced raising six amazing children while continuing to work at the club—a feat she's particularly proud of, especially as she's never had to rely on childcare thanks to the support and flexibility along the way.

Ask Eryn what her favourite part of working here is, and the answer is easy: the people. Having known many of our regular patrons for years, she's built countless friendships and loves catching up with familiar faces every day.

A few fun facts about Eryn:
🏡 She gets homesick very very quickly.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Her six children are what keep her motivated.
⚡ If she could have any superpower, she'd choose teleportation.
☀️ Summer wins over winter every time.
🍍 Pineapple on pizza? Absolutely not!
🦸‍♀️ Given the choice, she'd rather fly at walking speed than listen to animals giving unsolicited advice all day.

When asked what makes our club special, Eryn didn't hesitate: the staff. ❤️
And the funniest thing she's seen behind the bar? Let's just say a certain "Smellprado" unexpectedly parting ways with his chair still ranks pretty highly! 😂

We're incredibly lucky to have Eryn as part of the team. Her experience, friendly face, and genuine care for our members have made her a valued part of the club for more than two decades.

🌟 MEET OUR BOSS🌟
Meet Scott William Preston the First... although around here, you might know him better by his official club title: "Dancer" 💃🕺

Scott joined the team in March 2024 and says his favourite part about working at the club is simple – the people. He believes every member who walks through our doors should feel a sense of belonging, and that's something he brings to every shift.

A few fun facts about Scott:
🚗 His first car was a fire engine red 1973 VW Beetle.
🧠 If given the choice, he'd rather read minds than teleport.
🎵 He could happily listen to John Mellencamp forever.
🍸 If he were a cocktail, he'd be called the Tiny Dancer.
🍺 And if he won the lotto tomorrow? His first purchase would be a VB Long Neck!

When he's not at the club, you'll find him dreaming of the perfect weekend: watching his boys play football in Ireland before enjoying a pint of Guinness with his wife and family at a local Irish pub.
Scott loves Braidwood for its diverse, eclectic and historic community—and we're lucky to have him as part of ours.
