At Dalrymple Point in Bowen, you can explore scenic coastal shores, discover vibrant rock pools, and enjoy beautiful ocean views.

THINGS YOU MIGHT SEE 👀

• Horned Sea Stars
• Coral
• Sea Urchins
• Sea Cucumbers
• Sea Turtles

And if you're lucky, you might even spot whales!

The Bowen Lighthouse Walk is a unique North Queensland event.

During extreme low tides in winter a sandbar is revealed.

It allows you to walk directly from the mainland at Dalrymple Point Beach to North Head Island.

At the top you can visit one of Queensland's oldest lighthouses.

Be sure to wear sturdy sneakers or reef shoes, as the exposed sandbar and rocky areas can be uneven or sharp.

If you've ever wanted to experience one of Australia's most unique natural events, this is your last chance for 2026.
