2013 Ekhidna Shiraz (McLaren Vale) 90pts (PJH)

Colour is bright red ,aroma is rich and ripe.
Cherry fruits, black currant spicy plum sauce abound with hints of smoky dusty oak and licorice, fennel appears as the wine opens and breathes.
Intense licorice and blackcurrant fruits fill the medium to full bodied palate. These carry through to a long soft dusty tannin finish.

2013 Ekhidna Shiraz

Put into perspective one of the greatest vintages this Millennium, 2 years in French, 2 years in the bottle.

Wayne Farquar 'uva Wines has put together what I acknowledge as one of the all time great lists of varietals every seen in Aussie that ranges from Tempranillo to Fiano & everything in between..

All the reds have at least 22 months Oak maturation that enable the wines to get maximum development prior to bottling, which means they just get better with age.
Sounds like me...

With over 44 European European varieties, this vineyard leads Australia with a range of hand picked Rootstocks & Clones from Italy, France, Portugal & Spain combined with new & exciting Viticultural & Wine-making processes that have not been seen in Aussie.
This makes really really really good Vino, feedback I have had as of writing this post has been to say the least...
