Vale, Dolly. ๐Ÿ’”

For those who came to Side B in the early days, you might remember we had a full-size Dolly Parton in the bathroom with Loretta the llama. However then there was a little incident between Dolly and a customer that we wonโ€™t go into โ€ฆ and we were sadly left with half a Dolly.

But half a Dolly was better than no Dolly at all, so these days she sits up high above the bar, looking down on us all.

A wonderful artist and person, and a true original. โ€œIconโ€ is one of those words that gets bandied around a lot these days, sometimes without much substance. But Dolly? Dolly was the real deal. A true icon.

As a little tribute, weโ€™ll be giving Dolly a proper Side B send-off and playing a healthy dose of Dolly Parton on the bar playlist later this week.

Vale, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the songs, the laughs, the legend - and for keeping an eye on the bar. โค๏ธ
