Here is this weekend’s album playlist “the fridge door special”.

Why fridge door you ask ?? Eagle eyed patrons will have seen 3 classic album covers on our fridge doors in the bar area .. so we’ve de used to incorporated them into the soundtrack this weekend playing in the bar 🩶

When you come to Side B this weekend you will hear the following 6 albums played in full:

Jaki Byard - Hi-Fly

… and then bringing it home the “3 fridge doors” classic albums will be:

* We are basically full on Saturday night (but have left a few spots available for walk ins)

* We do still have seats available on Friday and Sunday at this stage - however, bookings are HIGHLY recommended.

Jean and Joel have been performing blues and jazz in and around the mountains for a number of years.

Jean’s vocals range from smooth, honeyed soul to gritty blues, skillfully accompanied by Joel’s sensitive, modern guitar.

Their partnership of vocals and guitar creates a distinctive and memorable fusion. Ranging from heartfelt blues to familiar jazz standards, Jean and Joel also lend their distinctive style to classic popular tunes, familiar to a broad range of the audience.

Their diverse repertoire covers material from early blues, jazz standards to indie pop, creating a delightful audience experience.

Winter is nearly here in the Mountains, the lights are low, the records are spinning … and our very own Vee has shared with us her Coconut Dahl. And we’ve just added it to our menu.

Holy moly … this dish is almost too good to be true ! It’s straight from Venessa’s recipe book - a creamy, fragrant blend of red lentils simmered with coconut cream, garlic, ginger and warming spices, finished with cumin and served with pickles, cucumber raita and warm roti for dipping and scooping. It’s absolutely the bomb !

Comfort food, Side B style.👌

Come on in, grab a table, order Vee’s Coconut Dahl and leave the stresses of the week behind you. Pair it with a cocktail, or glass of wine … and listen to the crackle of the albums playing in the background.
