This will come as a shock to some but not to others:

Due to mental health, family and financial reasons Entrèe Music Bar is Shutting It’s Doors as of today.

I was warned but was not prepared for the endless money pit that a live music venue is. We inherited a business that had many existing undisclosed issues with its equipment that has led us to spend thousands upon thousands rectifying issues. I have also been advised by experienced staff that in this sector you can’t expect to turn a profit within 12 months.

I can no longer put my marriage and family through this and need to get out while we can hopefully pay all our bills.
A big sorry and thank you to all who supported my slightly ill conceived idea. There are a lot of you but I would especially like to thank Colin Thompson, Grant Villiers and Mez Whittle and of course Karlene and the kids and our families for all your time and help.

We will pay this weekends bands in full but will have to cancel all other bookings.

Unfortunately we have found it necessary to stop Thursday evening trading at least through the colder months. We have acts tonight and next Thursday that will go ahead but the kitchen will not be open.
Original acts will now be incorporated in to some Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
We will re-evaluate this once the weather warms up. Thanks for your understanding. The Entree Team
