Happy Wanderer Festival

Happy Wanderer Festival The Happy Wanderer Festival - 1 - 4 November 2019 It's about connecting people with the farm and the north east region generally.

The happy wanderer festival has evolved from working bees held over the last few years at this really special farm. It's about getting the best bunch of people together- building community. So we're gonna have a go at bringing as many of you beautiful people into one place (a beautiful place) for a full weekend of camping, lazing in the shallows of the broken river and to top it off- some damn fine music.

Hey crew, hope everyone is holding tight through what has been a wild past year. I think things have been tough for quite a few crew so thinking of you all. Longing for the days we can all party again.
In the meantime one of the wanderer family is in a bit of a stretch and has come on some pretty tough times. She puts her heart and soul into putting together the festival and if you can give back in what ever way you can, we know it will be appreciated.
Stay safe Wanderers and hope to catch you soon 🌱

Hi everybody,

a few things we forgot to mention in the excitement!

- There is a FIRE BAN, this means no personal fires or camp cookers are permitted, but there is a communal kitchen in the festival area you are welcome to use, along with a sweet washing up station.

- LEAVE NO TRACE - we'll give you all a repurposed animal fodder bag to fill with rubbish, take home, and correctly sort and recycle at home.

- There is a SEVERE WEATHER WARNING for tomorrow - lots of rain is forecast for Saturday, and the WIND will kick in tonight. Don't forget those tent pegs!

- If you plan to leave early, please park in the EARLY EXIT PARKING (in front of the gate) so you can get out!

- Pack down starts lunch time on Monday. We would love your help if you're keen to stay on, otherwise you'll be asked to leave. Thanks!

- We are 100% volunteer run and love helpers! Pop by the volunteer hub if you're keen to lend a hand.

See you soon!

Our Story

Once a year we open the gates of beautiful Yin Barun farm to wanderers, and every time it's a truly beautiful experience.

By a river in Victoria's high country, we dance, craft and chat the nights and days away with some of Australia's most ace artists (and a few international guests).

Whether you like a spot in the centre of the dance floor or a quiet nook to read a book you'll be welcomed with open arms at Happy Wanderer. Take a farm tour, get involved in daily yoga, learn crafts from wonderful artists, swim in the river or just park yourself by a stage and take in the tunes. We can't wait to see you.

That’s the short story, read the long story here.
