In 1893 Aaron Brown opened a new Hotel on Mount Pleasant (now the suburb of Belmore) - the St George Hotel. He hoped it would become a meeting place for the "Social Elite" of the surrounding districts, and has now become a well known Belmore institution. There is the locals Bar, Pool Room and Safe Secure Parking at the rear. The spirit of the close-knit community of Canterbury City is reflected in the atmosphere that greets you at St George Hotel; bar staff and locals know each other by name and a warm welcome can always be expected. The St George Hotel is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a drink with friends in the courtyard!
