During the disruptions and upheavals of 2020, we came together as a group and asked the question ‘how can we work together?’
During that time, most bulk and large volume players who sold through supermarkets and large online retailers were selling more wine than ever before, whilst small producers’, reliant on tourism and restaurant trade, were faced with a much different scenario.
Thankfully, the industry has now largely recovered. However, once the seed was planted, the idea of a co-operative seemed to endure. We are a small and relatively unknown region – but a fantastic one; well suited to making world-class wines, a new frontier that is part of the future of cool-climate winemaking in Australia.
