Another successful job. Started with an old blown out dam, where the bywash had taken the wall out. Finished with a nice big dam, now waiting for the rain.

They say variety is the spice of life, well a few weeks ago I dug a dam in a swamp, this week I filled one in. It was an old Yabby farm, long ago ceased operations. The new owners wanted the dam filled in and a house pad cut.

Been bashing some more trees these past few days. Useless regrowth wattle and lantana thick as can be, stacked it all up. Customer smiling and very happy with the result.

Bit of a challenge this week. Building a large dam in a swamp. And to make it more interesting the customer had a special design and wanted channels dug up each side of the trees in the middle. Water pouring in all the time and each morning we had to pump it out before starting. Not quite finished off as I’d like but the water beat me in the end. I already had several thousand cubic meters of water logged mud that I had to push away, so called it.

Bravo Tom Hanks. In a welcome trend, another Hollywood celebrity has spoken up against the woke mob. Tom Hanks declared his opposition to the movement to rewrite classic books to remove anything that might offend modern delicate PC sensibilities, such as is being done to the novels of Roald Dahl, Agatha Christie and Ian Fleming. Hanks told NBC News: “I’m of the opinion that we’re all grown-ups here. Let’s have faith in our own sensibilities as opposed to having somebody decide what we may or may not be offended by. Let me decide what I am offended by and what I’m not offended by. I would be against reading any book from any era that says ‘abridged due to modern sensitivities.’” See the full article below.
