Custom Design and Manufacturing of 3rd Generation Colville Self-Priming irrigation pumps, bore pumps

What a week it's been, and an amazing experience travelling to Kunnanarra WA via Darwin to install our custom fabricated Colville Self-priming 24" inch irrigation pump which we were commissioned to build last wet season. With a very narrow window of opportunity with the impending storm season, we were contacted on the Tuesday morning and were headed to Melbourne that afternoon for our early morning flights Wednesday. This pump was built and transported up 12 months ago, however due to floods and weather conditions we have only just got the call up to install it. The pump is powered by a Cummins 6 CTA engine, self-priming and capable of handling heavy trash loads which is critical with all the debris and potential wildlife that it will surely encounter 🐊. Matt and myself had the privilege to be flown up to an amazing station called 'Legune', which is over 300,000 ha. and situated right amongst the Kimberly's. A few crocs were seen and we managed to squeeze in a spot of barra fishing and also the sights of Kunnanarra and Darwin. Thankyou to the whole crew or workers and management team of Legune for there assistance and providing us with this experience and hospitality.

Due to expanding business and a continued increasing workload, a position has become available. The right applicant would preferably have a minimum of 5 years experience and hold a certificate 3 in engineering/boilermaking, but not essential.

The position is casual with a look to go permanent for the right applicant, with plenty of over time available. The right applicant must have experience and be competent in MIG and stick welding, some stainless tig also and be able to work efficiently and independently as part of a busy team.

Out with the old, in with the new. Electric motor and pressure pump upgrade after the old pump had given all it could. Bearings gone, shaft worn and packing non-existent , this pump was no longer reliable enough to provide the essential irrigation requirements of the new avocado orchard it was servicing. The new pump fitted to a larger electric motor along with VSD to allow the flexibility of providing enough water for now and well into the future when the larger trees demand more.

Onsite today to install a 4" Vertical Centrifugal Colville Pump on auto start/stop via a float switch the DSE 3110 engine control complete with a solar trickle charger for dewatering a grain storage facility. Easy set and forget system to protect the grain bunkers from getting wet feet. 👌

Update on Big Red! We have just finished one of the bigger onsite installs we've had to do. This is the 20" Colville Self-priming pump from the previous post. Thanks very much to the client and his workers for all the help to make things run smoothly and completed ahead of schedule. See the video in the comments of some tests we ran before it left our workshop, as we do with all pumps that we manufacture. This way we can ensure the client gets a quality Australian made product that we will stand behind 100% in it's ability to perform as quoted.

Have a look at this monster..👀
This is a 20" Colville Self-priming pump powered by a John Deere 6068 T-1 and is capable of 65 MgL/day. This will be going together with a pipe system that will simplify the pumping system once all complete, and take the place of the primary supply pump and the recirculation pump all in one through some clever farm layout and pipe design. Stay tuned for the test video and pipe work once it's all completed and installed.

First post for a while. It has been flat out the last few months with quite a few onsite pump installs from new Kubota powered recycle pumps to electric powered pipe and riser pumps as well as a few old reconditioned pumps going out. Here's to hoping for some rain soon to help out all our farmers out there doing it tough.
