Even if you're not someone who considers yourself an art enthusiast, Public Art plays a role in shaping the kind of place that makes you feel proud to live in, work in and welcome people to.
Council is developing our first Public Art Policy and we're inviting you to have your say on what public art means to you, where it could make the biggest difference across your community, and how it can reflect the stories, identity and character of East Gippsland.

Public art shows up in many ways and your feedback will help guide a clear, practical approach to how it’s supported, planned and delivered. We encourage you to take a few moments to share your views and help shape a policy that reflects what matters most to you.

Last year Damian Callinan visited Omeo with his show "Hall Stories". He spent time chatting with the community, listening to all the local stories that surrounded the Omeo Soldiers Memorial Hall which contributed to his show.
In May Damian will be joining us again in East Gippsland visiting Lake Tyres Community Hall and Johnsonville Hall.

If you have stories about either hall, Damian would love to hear from you so please message us with your story.
