Happy Hour is now 4pm to 6pm, the perfect time to settle in at the bar with a pint, a Clare Valley wine or one of our classic cocktails.

New Wine Wednesday at The Rising Sun, where we open something special under Coravin and pour it by the glass.

Tonight, we’re pouring the 2023 Wilhelm Walch Pinot Noir Prendo from Alto Adige, Italy.

Bright red cherry, wild strawberry and gentle spice, with a fresh alpine feel and soft, easy tannins. It’s light on its feet, cleanly made and quietly charming, from one of Alto Adige’s long-running family producers.

Live at The Rising Sun this Sunday from 2–5pm, featuring Joe Amputch.

Joe Amputch is a Fiji-born roots and blues artist based in Adelaide. His sound draws on island music, blues, gospel and reggae, shaped around a rich voice, guitar and a natural sense of groove.

Clare Valley Gourmet Festival begins today.

Join us at The Rising Sun tonight from 5pm to 7pm for Happy Hour, then settle in for dinner, a drink at the bar, or a relaxed evening on the verandah or in the front beer garden.

We’ll be open all weekend for lunch, dinner and drinks, with walk-ins always welcome. Our popular Sunday Roast is available from 12pm until sold out.

Sunday arvo sorted. Live in the front bar this Sunday from 2–5pm, we’ve got Tara and Richard Coates bringing a raw, stripped-back set to The Rising Sun.

Adelaide singer-songwriter and guitarist Tara Coates has toured Australia and the US, played Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, shared stages with leading artists, and earned a 2017 South Australian Music Awards nomination for Female Artist of the Year.

Settle in with a drink and catch it live this Sunday afternoon.

Tonight, we’re pouring the 2024 Yves Cuilleron “Les Vignes d’à Côté” Gamay from France’s Northern Rhône. Bright and energetic, with red cherry, raspberry and gentle spice, backed by soft tannin and lively acidity. Juicy, fresh and very easy to return to.
