A five-piece led by Bellingen saxophonist Roger Burke, exploring the Hard Bop and Post-Bop jazz of the 1950s and 60s — the music made famous by Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Art Blakey, Charles Mingus and Hank Mobley.

Roger Burke (sax), Ash Hall (trumpet), Warwick Dunham (keys), Bruce Stephen (double bass), Cary Bennett (drums & vocals).

This week @ The Dog, we’re serving up the holy trinity: trivia, tunes and questionable amounts of pizza.

Tuesday at LittleDog kicks things off with raffles and happy hour from 4:30–6:30pm, because the week deserves a soft landing.

Wednesday is Trivia at LittleDog from 6:30pm. Bring the friend who knows capital cities, obscure 90s sitcoms and absolutely nothing useful at work.

Thursday is doing the heavy lifting:
Roger Burke Quintet hits Muso’s from 7:30pm, while BigDog goes full feast-mode with all you can eat pizza and games. $20 adults, kids under 12 pay their age. Dangerous value. Dangerous cheese levels.

Friday we hand the decks to DJ Leroy at LittleDog, with cocktails, antipasto platters, beer and wine specials, and takeaways to keep the weekend rolling.
