Firstly, thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the 50th Finke Street Party celebrations.
The atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic. We were proud to see locals and visitors enjoying themselves, supporting local businesses, and helping create a positive and welcoming environment in the heart of Alice Springs.
We have become aware of a social media post published by Action for Alice 2020 claiming that a security guard was assaulted at Bojangles.
This information is incorrect. No security guard was assaulted at Bojangles yesterday.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time inaccurate information about our venue has been published by this page. On multiple occasions, incorrect statements regarding Bojangles have been shared publicly. We have previously contacted the page administrators requesting that inaccurate information about our business not be published without verification. Rather than addressing those concerns, we were blocked from the page.
As a local business, we accept that not everyone will agree with us all the time. However, we do believe that facts matter and that businesses should not be subjected to misinformation.
Yesterday was a fantastic event for Alice Springs. Our staff, security team, entertainers and patrons all contributed to a safe and enjoyable day, and we are extremely grateful for the support shown to our venue.
Instead of focusing on negativity and rumours, we’d prefer to focus on what really happened — a successful Finke Street Party, a great atmosphere, and a community coming together to celebrate one of Australia’s most iconic events.
Thank you to every person who visited Bojangles yesterday. Your support means the world to our team.
Let’s continue promoting the positive side of Alice Springs and support the people and businesses who work hard to make our town a great place to be.
Bojangles Team ♥️
