Cozy up and explore Italy with Village Wine Bar this Winter

We will be approaching our specials a little differently this season. From North to South - the fog-draped porticos of Bologna to the sun-bleached terraces of Sicily, this winter Village Wine Bar is taking a long, delicious walk through Italy.

June, July and August are each dedicated to a different region, brought to life through regional specials and wines to match straight from the source.

This first round will explore Bologna, Venice and Emilia-Romagna with new additions to be added midway through the month.

Prized by emperors, poets, and peasants alike for its honeyed sweetness and the way it bridges the savoury and the sublime. Paired with the quiet richness of whipped buffalo ricotta, the slow-cured depth of lonza, the earth and crunch of hazelnuts, and a balsamic aged into something almost syrupy and dark, this dish is less a recipe and more a conversation with history.

On Friday 12th June, Village Wine Bar hosts Leonie Robin, daughter of celebrated Crozes-Hermitage producer Gilles Robin, for an intimate lunch and wine tasting unlike anything we’ve done before.

Four courses. Five wines. Exclusively only Twelve guests.

From ‘Les Marelles’ Blanc to a rare 2023 Cornas, every pour tells the story of a family who has farmed this land since 1920.
