Message from the President

On behalf of the Albany Club Inc., I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the 2026 Folk & Shanty Festival such a memorable and historic event.

To the festival volunteers, singers, musicians, visitors and club members—thank you for your enthusiasm, generosity and support throughout the festival. Your positive attitude, respectful behaviour and community spirit made the event an absolute pleasure for everyone involved.

Our staff and volunteers greatly appreciated the kindness and cooperation shown over the weekend. It is because of people like you that the Albany Club continues to be a welcoming place and that the Folk & Shanty Festival continues to grow in both reputation and success.

We look forward to welcoming you all back next year as we work together to make the festival even bigger and better. With your continued support, I'm sure 2027 will be our best festival yet.

I would like to thank all the patrons yesterday for a fantastic and successful day and appreciate everyone being respectful to our staff and volunteers, this makes for a fantastic event.
