🎸 Ten regions and one act from each headed to Airlie Beach Festival of Music! 🌴

Australia's largest live original music event. 8 regions bring together their community of live, original music and select one to head to Airlie Beach Festival of Music in November. One act will go on to be on the mainstage the following year and all entrants go into the pool of talent considered for the main festival . It has also been developed to bring emerging talent into a community to learn, network and get support on their journey as artists.

THEY’VE GOT THE SCORECARDS… YOU BRING THE NOISE. 🎸🔥

Brisbane’s Passport to Airlie judging panel is locked in:

⚡ Howard Duggan - founder of Scene Magazine, now Scenestr, Howard has spent more than 30 years immersed in Australia’s music and entertainment scene, championing artists and live music along the way.

🎸 Reverend Tul - a true Brisbane music lifer whose years as a muso, songwriter, 4ZZZ broadcaster, writer and industry all-rounder have kept him firmly plugged into original music - on stage and off.

🔥 Katie Mateus - a music marketing specialist with a decade across live music and touring, working with independent Aussie artists as well as campaigns for Taylor Swift, Elton John, Tame Impala, Luke Combs, Florence + The Machine and plenty more.

They know live music. They know artists. And this Sunday, they’ll be watching 9 original acts take the stage at Lefty's Music Hall. 👀

One of those acts will go on to represent Brisbane at the Passport to Airlie Showcase at the Airlie Beach Festival Of Music this November. 🌴

Unfortunately, our Byron Bay event at The Rails on Sept 5 has been cancelled.

We’re absolutely gutted and send a HUGE apology to our artists and everyone planning to come along and support live original music. 🩵

Thank you to everyone who got behind P2A Byron this year - we seriously appreciate you.

We’ll be mixing things up for 2027 and plan to come back bigger and better. ⚡
