Dear Moonies 🌝

Michael here,

It is with a heavy heart that after 7 years of shaking tins, pulling beers and spinning vinyls I have decided it is time to permanently close up the Moon.

I absolutely love the community that's been created and the friendships that we’ve made, it will all by truly missed.

To all our regulars that have dropped by over the years, shared a drink and a laugh, I thank you unconditionally. The support the bar constantly received was truly humbling.

To all my amazing staff and rockstars that have helped over the years, you guys made the Moon what it is. I am so thankful to have worked, partied and laughed with such awesome folk.

The bars final night of trade will be Jan 14th 2023, so we still have some time to go.

The bars 7th birthday is this weekend, and I would absolutely love to share a drink with as many people as I can.

This Friday (March 18) we are having another street part as part of the Adelaide Unleashed initiative!

The event kicks off at 4.30pm and finishes later in the evening. With DJs playing all night and , entertainment thanks to and its gonna be a fun one!

The moon team will be serving up spiked ice tea, beer and gin outside, plus our regular tasty treats inside.

Be sure to pop past and say gday!

Mississippi Moon is an intimate & friendly bar with the approachability of your old-fashioned neighbourhood speakeasy. We’re a part of Adelaide’s burgeoning laneway district in the CBD’s inner West End. We serve whiskeys, local & international gin, classic cocktails & a few of our own creations, a seasonal selection of beers, wines & ciders as well as a range of assorted specialties & favourites.

Feel free to peruse our collection of over 180 vinyl records, a rainbow of genres from Clapton to Kendrick and everything in between: if it’s good we’ll spin it! We host live gigs, play heaps of Uno and love to have a great time. The bar opened in 2015 and we’re serving from 4pm til late Tuesday to Sunday. Come and find us at 25 Gresham Street, just off Hindley: take a seat, have a yarn at the bar, or enjoy the evenings fresh air in the laneway terrace.
