Eight weeks into the Admiral’s Quarters, we’re getting to know your favourite drinks, your favourite corners, and who’s worked out how to use the telephone. It’s been a ride, and we’ve loved every minute.

When you get a call on a Wednesday evening asking, “Would you be up for hosting Angus MacRaild? Only catch is, it has to be a Monday night…”

The answer was an unequivocal YES!

So we’re throwing open the doors of Admiral’s Quarters on a Monday.

For those not yet acquainted, Angus is the Scottish wh**ky writer, independent bottler and wonderfully irreverent mind behind Wh**ky Sponge and Decadent Drinks.

And the man responsible for some of the most interesting and exciting whiskies on our shelves.

And what lured him all the way to Adelaide? Apparently, a love of South Australian red w**e. Thank goodness for that. 🍷

He’s bringing six remarkable whiskies, including a 22-year-old Bowmore bottled exclusively for his Australian visit.

And we’ve roped in the brilliant team at Fugazzi to delight us with some small plates to accompany them.

Expect extraordinary drams, fascinating stories, plenty of Scottish wit and a welcome drink to get things underway.

Apparently yelling across town works! Juan’s Torta Cantina is landing from Bowden to Hains & Co for the DAY OF THE DEAD party.

One night only. Tacos, fried chicken, corn ribs. All gluten-free.

Hains will be shaking the Margaritas. 🍸

Saturday 31 October, the laneway bar is coming to life with colour, tequila cocktails, face painting and DJ Tommy Tequila keeping things moving until 1am.
