For 85+ years South Australians in London have been meeting at the Eros Statue in Piccadilly Circus at midday every October 1st. Any South Australian who turns up at Eros at noon on October 1st in any year will automatically become a member of The Eros Club and shall thereafter be known as an Erotic. tralia Centre on the Strand where you can enjoy a free ‘drink and a chat’ – and perhaps even a Vili’s pie! RSVP's are essential, please email [email protected] if you would like to attend and we look forward to seeing you there! It is now customary for the Colonial Messenger (a member of the Eros Club who nhas recently returned from the UK) to strike the Eros pose and deliver greetings from London. A telephone call is usually made between those meeting at the Eros Statue and those attending the Adelaide Erotic's Dinner. Wine, food, stories, jolly friendship and fun are the key ingredients. For the 90th anniversary of the Eros Club the The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor Dr Jane Lomax-Smith kindly hosted a celebratory event at the beautiful Adelaide Town Hall. This was attended by Mr Rod Bunten, husband of the governor, Mr Jack Batty MP, Councillors Eleanor Freeman and Patrick Maher, City of Adelaide Acting CEO Ilia Houridis as well as many Erotics and Old Erotics. It was a very enjoyable event and included the usual Eros Club frivolity. Afterwards a group of Eros Club members crossed the road for dinner and the usual video call with members attending in London. A good time was had by all.
