Ten years in, it felt like time to reintroduce ourselves – and the story behind the name on the door.

Alfred was our owner’s grandfather. In his Adelaide home, he built his own bars by hand – simple setups for the simple pleasure of a shared drink.

His home brews flowed freely, the doors were always open, and before long his place quietly became the local watering hole.

This bar carries that spirit forward, with house cocktails named after some of his usual suspects.

Alfred was the inspiration. This bar is the tribute.
