(691)

Our members and guests enjoy wonderful facilities and benefits including two 18 hole championship golf courses, both ranked in the top 100 golf courses in Australia. We have hosted a number of major tournaments including the West Lakes Classic won by Greg Norman and Wayne Grady, the prestigious World Amateur Teams Championships in 2008 comprising the Eisenhower Trophy for Men and the Espirito Sant

o Trophy for Ladies, the Australian Amateur Championships and Australian Junior Amateur Championships. The Grange was the first golf club in Australia to develop a Wetland and Aquifer Storage and Recovery Scheme providing many environmental and social benefits to the community while securing the Club’s water supply for the future. The West Course was remastered by Michael Clayton Golf Design with a $1.6 Million redevelopment, completed in 2007. The East Course has recently been reconstructed by Greg Norman Golf Course Design. The project completed in 2012, cost the Club $3 million and has produced a championship layout that will challenge and reward players of all skills. In addition to our brand new East Course, our multi-award winning function centre offers flexible function rooms that can cater for any occasion and we have a private balcony which overlooks the spectacular views of the golf course. Our Pro Shop also offers over 30 motorised carts and hire sets to cater for all player needs. The Clubhouse also offers the Grange Bistro which is open for lunch from Tuesday through to Sunday (inclusive) from 11:00am until 3:00pm. The menu offers a wide range of options to cater for everyone’s tastebuds whether it be a bruschetta or burger before teeing off or fish and chips or a steak for your long lunch. The Grange Restaurant is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. Dine inside in comfortable, elegant surrounds, or while taking in the view and fresh air from the balcony. Relax and enjoy the manicured surroundings whilst indulging in contemporary Australian cuisine using the best local produce. Please visit www.grangegolf.com.au for more information on the new course and on The Grange Golf Club. Grange is the ultimate golfing experience you have all been waiting for!

We celebrated our Centenary year in style with a Gala Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Saturday, 23rd May.

Hosted by Chris Dittmar, the night featured a delicious three-course dinner, premium five-hour drinks package and live entertainment.

Those in attendance heard from special guest speaker Wade Ormsby, as well as long-time members and professionals.

Guests were entertained by The Cast band and comedian Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann and heard from SA Premier Peter Malinauskas, Cam Smith and Greg Norman.

The Club would like to sincerely thank all who attended and helped create such a memorable night 💚

The long green on the par three 4th West allows for the hole to be played at varying distances.

From the back of the old tee to the difficult pin behind the front-left bunker, the shot is only 135 metres.

Generally, however, from the back tee this hole demands a long iron shot.

The 15th East is a short par three with the green designed to fit perfectly in the natural surroundings.

A tee shot hit at the back left bunker with the correct distance should see you in a good position for a front or centre pin position.

Missing the green long right gives you an easy uphill shot to the back right pin, but to a front left pin, say your prayers.

The spectacular sandy wasteland is a feature of the 3rd West.

A long bunker is cut along the right side of the driving area, but there is a wide fairway stretching far to the left for the less adventurous.

A deep bunker on the left side of the green gives those who have played close to the fairway bunker a clearer approach.

The tee shot on the 16th East is uphill with an out of bounds right, however the landing area is relatively generous.

After a good tee shot, the golfer that wishes to go for the green in two will require precision and any loose shots will be penalised. The golfer that wishes to play it safe will take a longer club and hit their shot down left of the fairway bunkers.

The green is protected by a large bunker on the left side of the green.

Congratulations to Grange member Rob Overall who shot a hole-in-one on the 3rd East last month. ⛳

The 3rd East is a medium length par 3 and the green is one of the largest on the course. With trouble short and right, it's no secret where the best place to miss is. A shelf runs through the centre of the green which gives you the impression that there are two separate greens.
