🌊 Something exciting is brewing at The Breakwater! ☕🍻

The Breakwater Café & Bar will be taking a short break from 18–25 September while we give our space a little love. 🤎

We’ll be rolling up our sleeves, getting the paint brushes out and making a few changes as we prepare for something new and exciting at The Breakwater.
It’s only a small makeover, but we’re looking forward to freshening things up and sharing what’s next with our members, friends and local community.
The Breakwater will be closed from Friday 18 September through to Friday 25 September.

We’re seeking our next Treasurer to help guide our club into the future 💼

Over the past few years, we’ve worked incredibly hard to strengthen our financial position—and we’re proud to say we’re in a strong place because of it.

To continue this success and deliver on our vision, we’re looking for someone passionate about our club and community to step into this important role. You don’t need a formal degree—just a willingness to learn, contribute, and be part of something meaningful.

You’ll be supported every step of the way.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the club’s finances, budgeting, and reporting
• Manage payments, accounts, and cash flow
• Provide clear financial updates to the committee
• Ensure compliance, audits, and financial governance
• Lead funding streams: grants, sponsorship, and fundraising
• Support financial sustainability and long-term planning
• Guide and support Grants, Sponsorship & Fundraising Officers
• Help keep the club financially strong and future-focused

World Su***de Prevention Day 10th of September

On World Su***de Prevention Day, we come together as a community to remember and honour those we have lost, hold space for those who may be struggling, and remind one another that no one should ever feel they have to walk alone.

Through coming together, we share our strength, compassion, culture and hope, creating a safe space to yarn, listen, connect and support one another.

We invite you to join us at Yitpi Yartapuultiku on Thursday, 10 September at 5:30 pm for a Candlelight Vigil.

The evening will close with a light supper and time to sit together as community.

🕯️ Please bring a candle in a jar to symbolise hope, remembrance and the light we carry for one another.

We were pretty excited to take delivery of our brand new Can-Am Australia & New Zealand defender SSV! She’s a beauty and I know our patrolling members are going to be pretty stoked to not have to drive the old Polaris anymore! Patrolling season starts in October and the beautiful sunshine this weekend AND a new SSV has got us excited about the season ahead! We want to give a big shout out to Masonic Charities and our friends at Semaphore Lodge for your very generous donation to make this happen! Our new equipment means we can better serve and protect our community!
