Presence builds power

This week centers le***an and sapphic lives, voices, and leadership. You deserve spaces where you are seen, heard, and connected. When you show up, you shape what is possible.

At Villa Vida, Gal Pals creates a weekly space where connection comes first. No pressure. No expectations. You walk in, sit down, and start a conversation. Many strong friendships and networks in Vienna started exactly like this.

Beyond the café, the Vienna Le***an Meetup on Meetup offers more ways to connect across the city. Use both. Build your circle.

We also honor the work of radical le***ans like Audre Lorde, Monique Wittig, Barbara Smith, and Cherríe Moraga. Their writing and activism shaped how we understand identity, power, and community today.

Visibility grows through action. Show up. Bring someone new. Take part in building the spaces you want to see.

Präsenz schafft Macht

Diese Woche stellt lesbische und sapphische Leben, Stimmen und Führung in den Mittelpunkt. Du verdienst Räume, in denen du gesehen, gehört und verbunden bist. Wenn du erscheinst, veränderst du, was möglich ist.

Bei Villa Vida schafft Gal Pals einen wöchentlichen Raum, in dem Verbindung im Fokus steht. Kein Druck. Keine Erwartungen. Du kommst rein, setzt dich und beginnst ein Gespräch. Viele starke Freundschaften und Netzwerke in Wien haben genau so begonnen.

Über das Café hinaus bietet das Vienna Le***an Meetup auf Meetup weitere Möglichkeiten, sich in der Stadt zu vernetzen. Nutze beides. Baue dein Netzwerk auf.

Wir würdigen auch die Arbeit radikaler Lesben wie Audre Lorde, Monique Wittig, Barbara Smith und Cherríe Moraga. Ihre Texte und ihr Aktivismus prägen bis heute, wie wir Identität, Macht und Gemeinschaft verstehen.

Pride Block Party

Spörlinggasse, 1060 Vienna

Pride Block Party is a Q***r Vienna protest and celebration. It is built by the people who show up. No sponsors. Shared effort. A space shaped through presence, action, and care.

This is a day for action, connection, and visibility. The street becomes a place where people gather to speak, perform, organize, and meet each other. Throughout the day, you will find performances, workshops, community booths, and space to simply be together. The event closes with an afterparty that carries the energy forward into the night.

All donations from the day support the Q***r Mutual Aid Fund.

Die Pride Block Party ist eine q***re Wiener Demonstration und Feier. Sie wird von den Menschen getragen, die kommen. Keine Sponsoren. Gemeinsame Verantwortung. Ein Raum, der durch Präsenz, Handlung und Fürsorge entsteht.

Dieser Tag steht für Handlung, Verbindung und Sichtbarkeit. Die Straße wird zu einem Ort, an dem Menschen zusammenkommen, sprechen, auftreten, organisieren und sich begegnen. Im Laufe des Tages gibt es Performances, Workshops, Infostände und Raum für Austausch. Am Ende des Tages führt eine Afterparty die Energie weiter.

Alle Spenden gehen an den Q***r Mutual Aid Fund.

Villa Vida hat ein Pilotprojekt mit q***ren behinderten Menschen gestartet. Ziel ist, gemeinsam Fähigkeiten wie Backen zu lernen.

Wir suchen Unterstützung.

• Du hast Donnerstag nachmittags Zeit
• Du hast Geduld, Respekt und Lust auf gemeinsames Lernen
• Du willst solidarisch handeln, nicht nur reden

So läuft es
• Du unterstützt beim gemeinsamen Arbeiten in der Küche
• Du arbeitest mit q***ren behinderten Teilnehmer*innen
• Du hilfst Wissen aufzubauen, nicht nur Produkte herzustellen

Call for Unfinished Artworks
We are hosting an Exhibition of Unfinished Art from July 11th-18th. We invite artists, and those who don’t identify as such, to display their unfinished works. Whether it’s a piece that got forgotten in the rush of life, something you rage quit, or that you simply got bored with, all are welcome.

To submit to the exhibition, send an email to [email protected] including a photo of the piece, its dimensions, and a short description of the piece, including an explanation of why it’s unfinished. We want to emphasise the reasons why your piece isn’t finished, for some, this might relate to changing identities, frustration, boredom, getting too busy or overwhelmed, so we encourage you to reflect on this before submitting. Artists will have the option to put their piece up for sale or to have it simply displayed.

Deadline for submissions: July 6th 5 pm.
