🇬🇷 Greek Rebetiko Night at Mickey Finn's — Concert + Open Jam!

This Saturday the 9th of May, we welcome Banda Yala Duo for an evening dedicated to the spirit of Rebetiko.

🎸 Who are they?
Odysseas Manidakis (bouzouki, vocals) and Aron Hollinger (guitar, vocals) met during their studies at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz. What began as informal sessions playing Greek folk music for the pure love of it grew into years of performances and a shared musical dialogue — blending traditional Rebetiko with touches of jazz and modern expression. Sometimes faithful to the old recordings, sometimes exploratory, always heartfelt.

Their music travels through the colorful mosaic of Rebetiko: modal melodies, raw emotion, and rhythmic swing.

🎻 After the concert: Open Rebetiko Jam Session
Musicians are warmly invited to bring their instruments and join — keeping the tradition alive the way it was meant to be: shared. 🤝

🎶 FILL YOUR BOOTS — Live Music Night!

Consider this your friendly warning 😄

"Fill Your Boots" isn't just a name — it's a promise. On Friday the 8th of May, five musicians from four different countries are walking through our doors with one shared mission: take blues, rock, country, and folk... and shake them together until they sound like something you didn't know you needed.

All acoustic. All handmade. Played with the kind of energy that makes sitting still feel like a genuinely poor life choice.

Expect rich, earthy sounds, big personalities, and at least one moment where the whole pub ends up singing along without anyone asking them to. 🎶
