A new research has just been published, confirming that a significant portion of tea’s most important active compounds, the antioxidant catechins, are lost during the bottling process and later during storage on shop shelves.
Buy high-quality loose-leaf tea and choose tea-making tools that fit your lifestyle. With the right setup you can make real fresh tea simply and quickly :) .

Tea has been linked to benefits like better heart health and even longevity, which sounds pretty great. But how that tea is made turns out to matter more than many people realize. When tea is bottled and stored, key compounds like catechins can break down, dialing back those benefits.

The Kobuki style is one of the traditional decorative approaches within Minoyaki (Mino ware). It emerged during the Momoyama, Edo period (1603–1868) in Japan, especially on Minoyaki vessels produced in Gifu Prefecture. In this style a white wabi-sabi Shino glaze cup is decorated with iron powder and hand-painted motifs such as plants, leaves, and geometric forms. The vessels are characterized by a rustic yet elegant style. Thus, within Minoyaki ceramics, the Kobuki style evokes the classical wabi-sabi aesthetic, close to nature and beautifully simplicity. Artist: Wada Kazufumi (1945-), Tajimi, Gifu

When we write so much about tea, it’s not because we want to gather a more sophisticated or more mindful tea audience around us, or to appear smarter. Of course not :)
It’s simply so that you don’t just enjoy tea with your mouths, but let your imagination take wings as well. That you may feel the circumstances, recall the faraway mountains, the villages and the people who have nourished and touched these leaves. We hope it is your heart that this distant beauty reaches, making the experience deeper and more enjoyable. So here are some photos of Yiwu Gua Feng Zhai, the source of our sheng puerh tea :)
// Enjoy.

Dear friends in leaves, we have some fresh and wonderfully fragrant oolong teas. For my personal favorite, the Gardenia Oolong, I’ll be sharing a song in the comments 👇. While Ibrahim Ferrer’s version is beautiful, it’s Diego El Cigala’s style that truly captures the character of this tea 💋🩷 which we will all drink together…🌸🌸

Jianshui is one of the four great pottery villages. As ancient as Yixing, yet less known in Europe, but teapots carry a unique charm. Crafted from local clay stone, its teapots and vessels are adorned with delicate carvings and colorful inlays. As the surface is polished, the patterns reveal themselves with striking beauty. It was an honour to meet Shen Hong Zhi, the greatest master again 🥰

Guanyin (观音) is one of the most revered deities in Chinese Buddhism, known as the Bodhisattva of Compassion and Mercy. Originally derived from the Sanskrit Avalokiteśvara, who was depicted as male in India and Tibet, Guanyin gradually took on a female form in China over time. Compassion, mercy, and nurturing are often associated with feminine qualities. As a result, Guanyin transformed into a motherly, protective deity who alleviates suffering. A seated figure in white robes, often holding a lotus flower or a vase pouring out mercy upon the world.
