Race hard, get rewarded with a Porsche (test day)! 😎 🏁
At Kanonloppet in Sweden, the top two Senior MAX drivers of the Nordic Championship didn't just fight for the title, they raced their way into the cockpit of a Porsche 718 GT car. 🏆

Kanonloppet is unlike any other event on the Swedish motorsport calendar, the only weekend where karting, car racing and motorcycles share the same track. Thousands of fans and local media were on site, and the RMC and Nordic Championship 2026 podium took the stage right after the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia final, putting our Senior MAX drivers in front of the crowd at the perfect moment.

Simon Ohlin took the win, with Bastian Ensgård right behind him as vice-champion. Their prize: a full test day at the legendary Gelleråsen Arena, complete with a coach and a brand new Sparco racesuit. 🧡

Since 2003, BRP-Rotax and Porsche Motorsport have shared the track and the same passion for speed. This is what it looks like when one spark on a kart track leads to the pinnacle of motorsport.

Sweden’s first-ever Rotax E10 Mini Series round took place at Gelleråsen Arena during the legendary Kanonloppet weekend, August 13 to 15, marking the launch of E-Kart racing for drivers aged 10 to 13.

Across the tight 1.257 km circuit, drivers quickly learned how to use the Boost function to their advantage, and the racing only got closer as the weekend went on. The series champion earns a spot at the RMC Grand Finals in Portimão, Portugal this November.

Round 2 goes down September 26 to 27 at the RMC Sweden finale, with the title still very much up for grabs.

This final lap of the Rotax E10 at the Rotax Festival in Dunkeswell, UK, has a bit of everything - close racing, position changes and a fight right down to the final metres. 🏁⚡
And then, a last-second overtake at the finish line decides the winner. 👀
Along with the victory, Oscar Churches secured a Big Ticket and his place on the road to the RMC Grand Finals in November! 🎟️🏁

Sem Knopjes talks about the RMC Grand Finals in Sarno, and why that event taught him more than any other. It paid off: at the RMC Grand Finals in Bahrain 2025, Sem won the MAX DD2 category. And the story doesn't stop there - his father, Maurits Knopjes, who was his mechanic and trainer for years, won the E20 Masters at the same event.
