Our mission is to see more diversity in the creative industry. Join the community for support and inspiration by following us on Instagram and attending our meetups in Cape Town that cover a wide variety of topics relating to creativity, business, and life. *Alcohol is entirely optional; you can drink tea, coffee, or whatever you like!

This weekend 🍷🌿
Escape to Steenberg for a celebration of female artists and women in the business of wine-making, hosted by Norval Foundation.

Women in Wine will be held in the beautiful Sculpture Garden at on Saturday and Sunday. You can look forward to seeing art by Irma Stern, Kapwani Kiwanga (France/Canada) and the exhibit ‘When Rain Clouds Gather: Black South African Women Artists, 1940 – 2000’ curated by Portia Malatjie and Nontobeko Ntombela in the museum galleries.

Taste cultivars from different regions of the Western Cape and chat to the women behind brands like Boschendal, Graham Beck Wines, Oneiric Wines, South Hill Vineyards, Steenberg Vineyards and more!

Meet head coach and a Team ZA skater Kill Gill. Gill represented South Africa in the previous Roller Derby World Cup and will be joined by Zelri in teaching us the basics of skating on Saturday evening. 🔥
When asked what they love about the sport, the skaters said:

Book your spot at the Skate Basics class with by selecting the ticket with rented skates in your size. There are limited skates available so it’s first come first serve we’re afraid

If tickets for the class sell out, don’t worry! Skates in your size should become available throughout the night so you’ll still get those photos at the Roller Disco ✨

TICKETS ON SALE FROM MONDAY

Learn how to skate (and stay for the disco!) next Saturday, 26th February ✨🛼

Our 2022 event calendar kicks off with an introduction to roller skating class led by the amazing Cape Town Rollergirls team. Venue: Sunningdale Sports Complex.

The Skate Basics class is a Ladies, Wine & Design CPT community exclusive. Rookie roller skaters: this one’s for you! Don’t worry about never having skated before, this class is an opportunity for you and your friends to have fun and tick roller skating off the bucket list.

R120 gets you a ticket to the class as well as a pair of rented skates for the hour. There are limited skates available to rent in sizes 4 - 12 so it’s first come, first serve. Have your own roller skates? You get a discount! Regrettably no roller blades allowed (venue policy).

After the class, you’re invited to join us on the floor for the Roller Disco hosted by 🌈Entrance to the disco is free if you’ve attended the class and your skates an additional R60 per hour.

What to expect?
Masks and social distancing are compulsory
All ages welcome
Dress up for the disco or come as you are
Cash/ Snapscan payments
Mini pizzas, snacks and bar at the venue

I'm a fine art photographer and fashion design student at FEDISA. I have a passion for art and creation. I have devoted my life to empowering beings, regardless of their gender, and use my work to confront social issues. I want to change the fashion industry and its contribution to pollution, and dream of manufacturing textiles in an ethical and sustainable way.

Since completing my studies at an art school in Cape Town, I’ve found homes in the offices of a fashion magazine, a non-profit art gallery, and a few digital agencies. In 2020, I launched my own design studio with the aspiration of helping small business owners tell their stories through a unique blend of colour, bold graphics and humour 👉🏽
