What a fabulous day at GBYC for #2 of the 2022 S73 series, sponsored by Port and Starboard, Gordon's Bay. 12 competitors and 15 races. Thanks to all the competitors and those that visited for supporting the event, to Edmund Tough for laying and retrieving the marks and to Richard and Annatjie Tough for being our bridge team. Huge thanks to the GBYC Committee, bar and galley staff for being great hosts and making us feel so at home. A special thanks to Francois from Port and Starboard for the awesome sponsorship. There were amazing prizes for each competitor. Congratulations to Paul Lagesse for the win and to Sean Le Sueur 2nd and Brad Stemmett 3rd. The youngest competitor, Jayden Lagesse did extremely well to finish in 4th.

Overall results from the 2021 season. 5 events with 1 discard allowed. Well done to Brad for winning the overall trophy and Jayden for winning the overall junior trophy. Paul Lagesse donated a sail bag as a lucky draw prize which was won by Stephen Du Toit. Thanks for your generosity to the class Paul. We look forward to the 2022 series with the first event already under the belt. Watch this space for more details of upcoming events.

The first event of the S73 2022 series was held on Sunday 6 March 2022 at VYC. We had 8 races in light and shifty conditions. Thanks to the competitors who made the effort to be there and contributed to the laughter and banter both on and off the water. Thanks to Jennifer Weyer for being our awesome race officer. Well done to Paul Lagesse for first place.
