SUGAR SCRUB CUBES

Ingredients

1/4 cup coconut oil (or other oil of choice)
1 cup of sugar (white or brown)
1/2 cup of unscented soap, shredded
Mixing bowl & spoon
Optional add-ins for scent
Ice cube tray or other mold

How to make them:

Mix the oil and shredded soap together in a microwave safe bowl.

Microwave on high for 10 second intervals stirring in between each. Continue until the soap is melted into the oil.

Add in optional scents or other ingredients and stir.

Quickly move mixture to a mold and let firm up (putting it in the freezer helps).

HOMEMADE EYEBROW WAX

Ingredients:
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp honey
1 tsp water
You’ll also need a knife or something flat to apply the wax and some cloth strips for peeling it off.

Directions:
1) Combine ingredients in a microwavable container. You could also use the stove instead of microwave, but you’d need a very tiny pan.
2) Cook mixture in the microwave (or on the stove) until it bubbles and turns brown.If you don’t cook the mixture long enough, it stays too soft and sticky to work. If you cook it too long, it turns into hard candy. Cook it for about 30 or 35 seconds.
3) Let cool. This is also important. You won’t know if you’ve cooked the wax long enough until it cools down. If it’s too thick, dilute it a little and try it out.
4) Brows, get ready for some waxing!
5) Apply wax to only the part of the brow you want to remove.
6) Apply cloth strip to waxed eyebrow. Press and smooth in the direction of the hair growth.
7) When you’re ready, rip the cloth off of your eyebrow in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
8) After waxing, tweezing just a tiny bit to clean up strays, and filling in the gap with a little bit of eye pencil.

Today I am here with an amazing solution to exfoliate your skin. It will also help to keep your skin moist. We have homemade exfoliating scrub for oily skin. It is nothing but a homemade facial scrub. You need not spend money on beauty, shopping because this homemade scrub for the face can give you all that you deserve.

How to Make Homemade Scrub and Exfoliate your Skin

Things you will need

½ fresh lemon juice
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of organic honey
1 medium size air tight bowl with lid
Steps of Preparation

Step 1

Take an airtight bowl with lid.

Add lemon juice to it this face and body scrub

Add olive oil to it.

Add Honey and mix again till it makes a viscous paste.

Rub gently in a circular motion for 3 to 5 minutes.

Pat dry with a soft towel and enjoy your smooth skin. It exfoliates face and body.

This scrub for face is very effective, but here you need to rub it gently.

Crunchy Betty’s Winter Facial Scrub

Ingredients:

1/3 c. organic white rice flour
1/4 c. finely ground organic oats
1/8 c. finely ground shredded coconut
1 Tbsp kaolin clay
1 Tbsp neem powder
2 Tbsp finely ground chamomile
2 Tbsp finely ground calendula
15 drops rose hip seed oil
10 drops chamomile essential oil
10 drops rose essential oil

Instructions:

Grind all of your ingredients well in a spice grinder or food processor. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl and stir very well. Add oils drop by drop, stirring after each addition.

Pattypan Panzanella

Ingredients
5-6 small pattypan squash, cut into 1 inch pieces
olive oil, for drizzling
1½ cup cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
1 small cucumber, chopped into ½ inch pieces
½ clove garlic, minced
sherry vinegar, for drizzling
½ cup mini mozzarella balls, sliced in half (skip if vegan)
4-5 slices stale sourdough bread, sliced into 1-inch cubes
¼ cup toasted pine nuts
big handful of torn fresh basil leaves
generous pinches of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Heat a grill pan to medium. Toss the squash pieces with a drizzle of olive oil, and a few pinches of salt and pepper. Place the squash onto the grill pan and grill each side until the squash is tender and char marks form (about 2 minutes per side).
Place the cherry tomatoes and cucumbers in a large bowl and toss with a drizzle of olive oil, the minced garlic, a drizzle of sherry vinegar, and a few pinches of salt and pepper. Toss again.
When the squash is done, add it to the bowl along with mozzarella, bread, pine nuts, and basil.
Add more olive oil, sherry vinegar, salt and pepper as needed.
Let the salad sit at room temp for about 15 minutes so that the bread has the chance to soak up the flavorful juices.
