🚧 Yarm Bridge will be closed to traffic from 9pm on Sunday (9 March) to enable the damaged bridge parapet to be made safe following a recent traffic collision.

The works include removing damaged stone and installing a temporary concrete barrier.

Pedestrian access on the north side of the bridge will be maintained throughout the closure, as well as access for emergency services. Bus services will remain unaffected. A signed diversion will also be in place for motorists.

Work is anticipated to be complete and the bridge reopened to traffic by 6am Monday (10 March).

Upon completion of the works, the footway on the south side of the bridge will remain closed until a permanent reinstatement of the stone parapet wall can be made following detailed assessments.
