The sign is up, the keg is ready, and Varangian is preparing to take its place at the Longhouse.

Made with Wylie-grown figs and local Wylie honey, this mead is about as hometown as it gets. 🍯

👀 VARANGIAN IS ON THE MOVE.

Our local fig mead has officially left its storage kegs and moved into serving kegs. That means it’s getting dangerously close to the taps. Small batch release that will ONLY be available in the taproom.

The weather is cooling down, the seasons are changing, and we’re entering that wonderful time of year when the Longhouse starts shifting flavors. 🍂🍯

But we’re not there yet.

For now, Varangian is locked down, guarded, and under strict orders not to mysteriously lose a keg before release. 😂

Soon. Very soon.

Until then… keep your hands off our fig mead. We’re watching you. 👀⚔️

👀 Something is mixing up at the Longhouse…

These jars are only one small piece of what we’re working on, but they’re going into something very special we've had before. 🍯

No hints yet. Lets see who knows their Texas Longhouse mead and who has been listening. Like every other limited batch of mead we have made, we save 5 gallons for a limited taproom only release.

THE MASSES HAVE SPOKEN. ASGARD’S ORCHARD IS BACK. 🍎⚔️

We heard the rumblings. We heard the demands. We saw the empty tap.

Fear not for the wait is over. 😂

Production has been working hard… or hardly working, depending on who you ask, because somehow y’all keep drinking the mead faster than we can make it.

But the tanks have delivered and Asgard’s Orchard is officially BACK ON TAP! 🍎🍯

Come get your pour before the masses do what they always do and drink us out of it again.

You demanded it. We made it. Now come drink it.

After four years in Suite 11, North Texas Homebrew Supply has officially moved two buildings over to Suite 51, and we’re open!

We’ve been working hard to get the new space ready, and we’re excited for you to see what we’ve been putting together. With a refreshed layout, easier access to ingredients and equipment, and more room for classes and events, we can’t wait to welcome you into the new shop.

THE LONGHOUSE FAMILY SHOWED UP!

We didn’t get nearly enough pictures at the Texas Mead & Music Festival, but one thing is certain: the Longhouse family showed up in force!

Y’all braved the Texas heat, raised a glass with us, and helped welcome so many new faces into our community. Seeing people light up after their first taste of our mead made every bit of the hard work worth it. The line to taste or get more of our meads grew throughout the day. At one point it was almost a 30 minutes in line. But with a great crew we cut that down.

Over 2,000 people came through the gates, making this the largest mead festival the Texas Mead Association has been part of. We’re proud to be part of an organization bringing Texas mead makers and their communities together.

And to our incredible crew, THANK YOU. From production and accounting to our brand ambassadors and the front-of-house team who kept the meadery running on a skeleton crew on a Saturday, no less, you made this possible.

We may have taken the mead to Waxahachie, but y’all brought the Longhouse with us. ❤️

This is what we’re building. Not just a meadery, but a community that shows up for one another.

’Twas the night before Mead Fest… 🍯⚔️

The Gnomes and Jarls are packing the wagons. Tents, tables, chairs, ice, and enough mead to keep the horde happy. Tomorrow, the Longhouse rides for Waxahachie.

But a Longhouse has never been about four walls. It’s the people who gather inside them.

So tomorrow, we’re taking ours on the road.

Come raise a glass with our friends from meaderies across Texas. Meet the makers. Discover new mead. Listen to great music. And show everyone what happens when the Longhouse community shows up in force.
