Operator Revives Old-School Pizza Hut to Target Tech Fatigue

While national fast-food brands are abandoning dining rooms to focus on drive thrus, delivery apps, and automated kiosks, one Pizza Hut operator is moving in the exact opposite direction. Tim Sparks is betting big on the traditional sit down experience by retrofitting dozens of locations with vintage details like Tiffany style stained glass lamps and family booths. Sparks notes that these "Classic" locations are currently among his top performing stores, proving that a segment of the public is fatigued by the speed of modern fast-casual dining. By centering the restaurant around an old school arcade corner and a physical salad bar, the initiative challenges the industry assumption that consumers only care about maximum convenience.

Long overdue update — and an honest one.

A lot of you have been rooting for me to open a taproom and brewery here in Washington County. That dream is still alive. But you deserve to know what’s actually happening.

I pivoted.

After months of working toward a taproom acquisition, I hit a wall. The deal wasn’t right — financially or operationally — and I walked away. It was the correct call, but it forced me to rethink the entire approach.

Here’s what I realized:
You don’t build the thing you love first. You build the foundation that makes it possible.

So the business is developing in three phases — the same support streams I identified during due diligence.

Phase 1: Dynamo Water.
Using water purification, canning, and packaging assets to produce premium canned water.
It generates real revenue from year one.
It builds the cash flow and operational track record lenders want.
It builds the supply, vendor, and distribution networks a brewery needs.

Phase 2: Grain processing.
More on this once Phase 1 is operational.

Phase 3: The taproom.
Still coming. Still the vision. But this time it will be built from strength, not from hope.

Where things stand right now:
Letter of Intent submitted on a production facility in Williamsport.
Financing in motion.
Equipment sourcing underway.
Target opening for Phase 1: Summer 2026.

Thank you for sticking with me through the pivot. This is a long journey, but the best part of the story hasn’t happened yet.

We’re expanding our strategy to include industrial operations that will support the long‑term brewery project. This phase is focused on building capital and strengthening our operational base ahead of the primary project.

We're updating the crowdsourcing goal to reflect progress in the broader capital stack. As we’ve continued working through the acquisition process, additional capital sources have started to come together, which reduces the remaining community‑supported portion. Adjusting the goal keeps everything aligned with the current numbers and the momentum we’ve built so far.

Every contribution here still goes directly toward the equity portion of the acquisition, and the support to this point has made a real impact. Thank you to everyone who has shared, contributed, or reached out. Your backing continues to move this project forward.

Please continue to donate if possible, and share with others.
