Step into another world at Beltway Connection’s October dance! We’re kicking off spooky season with a Halloween adventure straight out of a fairytale, where a little magic and mischief await.

Stop by our storybook snack table for some magical treats:

Grandma’s basket of goodies and cookies
Poison apple slices
Salty snacks from the deep blue sea
Frog eggs fit for a prince
A witch’s brew to keep you fueled for a night of dancing

Costumes are encouraged, so dress to impress and prepare for an enchanted night of dancing in a land far, far away (also known as Northern Virginia).

We have also been instructed by the Royal Beltway Court to pass along the following message (or WARNING) about what games and mischief lie in store for all potential attendees:

Here ye, here ye, beware all who enter here!

The magical realm of Beltway has been besieged by a wicked curse!

Upon entering the enchanted hall, each guest shall receive a secret curse, written upon a slip of parchment. Guard thy curse well, for its magic lies dormant… for now.

When the witch appears and casts her spell upon the dance floor, the curses awaken! From that moment forth, each dancer must obey the strange enchantment bestowed upon them while they dance.

Perhaps thy feet may suddenly grow heavy, thy movements become impossibly small, or thou may be compelled to dance as though caught in a terrible windstorm. Whatever fate hath chosen for thee, thou must continue dancing under its spell until the witch releases thee from the curse.

So take heed, brave dancers. When the witch begins her incantation, head thy curse, embrace thy fate, and let the enchantment begin!

Join us at Beltway Monthly October Dance! Our specialty workshop features a much-requested topic: DUCKS. In this class, we'll teach you how to play with level changes uncovering new pathways in your dance without loosing your head! Stick around for our Halloween party including themed games and snacks! What is a duck? A fun styling where the follower drops their level to comfortably pass under the leader’s arm, adding a little flair and playfulness to the dance.
